About After the Amen

I’m Electa.

I turned 50 and realized I had spent a ridiculous amount of my life being responsible.

Who This Is For

The person people called.

Mother. Wife. Daughter. Caregiver. Employee. Fixer. Church girl. The person people called when something needed to be handled.

I don’t regret loving people. I just finally realized I belong on the list too.

What I'm Building

After the Amen is what I’m building while I figure out what I want the rest of my life to look like.

I’m traveling. Trying things. Making money in ways I didn’t expect. Taking care of myself. Changing my mind. Learning things embarrassingly late. Occasionally buying something I absolutely did not need.

Electa's Story

And I’m documenting it.

Not because I figured life out.

Because I didn’t.

If you’ve spent years living for everybody else and you’re starting to wonder what you want now, you’re probably in the right place.
